About the tour

June 24 - Dublin

Arrive Dublin and transfer to accessible centrally located hotel. Located off the city's main thoroughfare, O' Connell Street, the Hotel is a short stroll from the shopping, galleries, theatres and of course the cosmopolitan area of Temple Bar. LD

June 25 - Dublin

We will spend a glorious day exploring Dublin as we visit Trinity College and Book of Kells.  This College is famed for the great treasures of which it has the honor to be guardian including the Book of Kells, a Ninth Century illuminated manuscript. We will then visit the Guinness Storehouse which is home to Guinness Stout, the famous black beer. BLD

June 26- Dublin

Today we continue our of the beautiful city of Dublin including a visit to St Patrick’s Cathedral which stands on the oldest Christian site in Dublin where, it is said, the Saint baptized converts to the Christian faith in a well alongside the building.  We will also tour the famous Jameson Distillery where beautiful copper stills and other instruments used in the whiskey distillation process can be seen. BLD

June 27 - Dublin/Malahide Castle/Dublin

We will enjoy a half-day exploring Howth Village and Malahide Castle. Stopping first at the grounds of the castle, we will have a live-guided tour of the refurbished castle and wander the majestic grounds. We will then travel along the scenic coast to the picturesque fishing village of Howth where we will enjoy a delicious seafood lunch. In the evening we will delight in a traditional Irish dinner show. BLD

June 28 - Dublin/Waterford/County Wicklow/Dublin

Today we will enjoy a day-trip to first the Waterford Museum to learn about this world famous crystal. Then we will venture on to County Wicklow to discover the beautiful rolling green hills which have made Ireland so famous. We will also visit one of the world's greatest gardens at Powercourt House situated in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains. BD

June 29 - Dublin/Limerick

We depart Dublin today for our journey to Limerick. Along the way we will stop at Kildare in Tully County where we will visit the Japanese Gardens and Irish National Stud, which promotes Irish racing horses and is one of the country's major attractions. After visiting Kildare, we will continue to the Rock of Cashel with its well preserved ecclesiastical remains and one of Ireland's most spectacular landmarks. BLD

June 30 - Limerick

We tour the major city of Limerick today. Its compact old town is known for medieval-era St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Johns' Square, lined with Georgian townhouses which stand along the River Shannon. We will visit King John's Castle, Bunratty Castle and park where 19th century life is vividly recreated. We will enjoy the tastes, scents, sights and sounds of these enchanting places as we stroll around these historical gems. BD

July 01 - Limerick/Killarney/Limerick

Today will enjoy a day-tour from Limerick to Killarney which is on the northeastern shore of Lough Leane and part of the Killarney National Park. Our tour will feature time at the Muckross House, gardens and traditional farm which dates back to the 19th century. Beautifully situated beside Muckross Lake, you will enjoy the beautiful gardens and a interior tour of the house. BLD

July 02-Limerick

You will have the day to enjoy Limerick on your own. Shop, have a sport of tea or enjoy a museum. BD

July 03 - Limerick/Galway

We depart Limerick for Galway today. Along the way we will stop at the Cliffs of Moher which stand more than 600 feet above the wild Atlantic Ocean. The cliffs are home to thousands of seabirds and the view on a clear day is spectacular with Mount Brandon and the Aran Islands often visible on the horizon. BLD

July 04 - Galway

Today we will discover the most coveted region, Connemara, in County Galway. A particularly beautiful region, appreciated for its patchwork-like scenery of little green fields, never-ending stone walls, thatched cottages and pretty fishing villages. We will also visit Kylemore Abbey which is the only Irish home of the Benedictine Nuns. Built originally as a castle, it is one the best examples of Irish neo-gothic architecture. The estate also features a Victorian Walled Garden. BLD

July 05 - Galway/Cong/Galway

We will visit the famous Ashford Castle grounds and enjoy a scenic boat ride as we learn the history of the gorgeous estate. After we will visit the small village of Cong made famous as the filming location of "A Quite Man" starring John Wayne. In the evening we will enjoy a traditional Irish show featuring past stars from the "Lord of the Dance." BD 

July 06 - Galway

Enjoy a free day in Galway. BD

July 08 - Galway/Shannon

Transfer from the hotel to the Shannon airport for your flight home. B
