Tour highlights

Mar. 31 - Catania/Taormina

After an overnight flight, arrive at the Catania airport, where a Dignity Travel group host will greet you (if you have not been greeted yet at one of our connecting airports). We will transfer from the airport to the hotel  using an accessible mini bus. Once we check into our 5-star accessible hotel in central Taormina  - you will have the opportunity to unwind and relax before enjoying a welcome dinner at the hotel. D


Apr. 01 - Taormina/Reggio Calabria/Taormina

We depart for Reggio Calabria to visit the Riace Bronzes or better know as the Bronze Greeks. These world-famous sculptures were discovered in the sea in 1972 and are some of the best preserved Greek statues to view. BL


Apr. 02 - Taormina

We will explore this amazingly beautiful coastal city and its

spectacular Greek amphitheater, set high above the ocean. Still in use as an arts venue today, its permanent “show” is its extraordinary view of Mount Etna, rising in the far distance beyond the stage. Later, relax or catch up on shopping with time at leisure. BL


Apr. 03 - Taormina/Piazza Armerina/Taormina

Journey east to Piazza Armerina, a graceful countryside town, where you visit the incomparable Villa Romana del Casale. A luxurious example of an ancient Italian villa, this UNESCO World Heritage Site houses breathtaking mosaics originally laid in the fourth century. BL


Apr. 04 - Taormina/Valle di Noto/Taormina

We will explore the Baroque cities which are UNESCO World Heritage sites in the Valle di Noto region of Sicily. BL


Apr. 05 - Taormina/Sciacca

We depart on a scenic drive today to the southern coastline of Sicily. Tumbling down a scenic hillside and historic city center which is home to 16th-century ramparts and Norman churches. We will check-in to the spa resort and enjoy a leisurely dinner. BLD


Apr. 06 - Sciacca/Valley of the Temples/Sciacca

“The most beautiful city inhabited by mortals” is what legendary Greek poet Pindar wrote as he recalled his adopted city Akragas, now Agrigento. Founded in 581 BC, the vast Valley of the Temples at Agrigento boasts immaculately preserved Doric temples surrounded by leafy almond trees and centuries-old olive groves. BL


Apr. 07 - Sciacca/Erice/Sciacca

We will discover one of the most charming and best-preserved cities in Sicily, Erice emerges from the peak of Monte Erice, overlooking Tripani harbor. Surrounded by ancient walls on three sides, the historic commune is boasts tiny squares and enchanting churches. We will spend time exploring narrow alleyways before being tempted by Erice’s famous almond biscuits and pastries stacked up in the windows of local pasticcerie. BL


Apr. 08 - Sciacca/Segesta/Sciacca

Today we will explore Segesta. According to legend, it was founded by the Elymians, descendants of the Trojans. Built on the slopes of Monte Barbaro in the shadow of Castellammare del Golfo, the ancient Greek temple site was one of the most important centers in the Mediterranean. Segesta’s magnificent Doric temple is one of the world’s best preserved with intact columns. BL


Apr. 09 - Sciacca

Enjoy the day relaxing and enjoying the seaside spa resort. B


Apr. 10 - Sciacca/Scala dei Turchi/Sciacca

We will discover some the of natural wonders along the coast of Sicily and we will visit the white cliffs of Scala dei Turchi. BL


Apr. 11 - Sciacca/Palermo

Enjoy a scenic drive as we travel to our last destination of Palermo. Its history and artistic heritage make this city a world in itself. As Sicily’s capital at the crossroads of the Mediterranean, Palermo’s been a melting pot of civilizations for centuries. BLD


Apr. 12 - Palermo

We will discover Palermo today along with the Monrale Cathedral , which is regarded as the most beautiful of the Norman churches in Sicily. The mosaics were made of pure gold, and craftsmen from Constantinople were employed to expedite the work. The Byzantine mosaics are among the most magnificent in the world. BLD
