Tour highlights

Nov. 10 - Cape Town

Arrive to Cape Town and transfer to hotel. 

Nov. 11 - Cape Town

Today we take a cable car to the top of Table Mountain for a stunning 360-degree view across Table Bay, the Cape Flats and the chain of mountains making up Table Mountain. In the afternoon, we will visit the Kirstenbosh Botanical gardens which are famous for winning flower shows around the world. BL

Nov. 12 - Cape Town

Today we travel to Cape of Good Hope reserve, stopping at the Penguin colony in False Bay and also at the Cape Point in the reserve. We will take a funicular ride to the Old Lighthouse at the point. We will then ride along the breathtaking road from Hout Bay. BL

Nov. 13 - Cape Town

We will enjoy a day tour to the wine country as we explore the areas of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paar. We will visit the Period House Museum with antiques dating back to 1679. Of course, we will also have the opportunity to taste some of the delicious wine produced in the region. BL

Nov. 14 - Cape Town/Calitzdorp

We depart Cape Town for the Garden Route. We will ride through the Breede River Valley, the Kogman's Pass and into the Klein Karoo. BLD

Nov. 15 - Calitzdorp/Knysna

Today we will visit a wildlife ranch and then enjoy lunch at an Ostrich farm where we will learn about these fascinating flightless birds. Later, we will ride over the Outeniqua Pass to the coastal area of the Garden Route. BL

Nov. 16 - Knysna

We travel to Plettenberg Bay today where we will enjoy an eco-cruise on the Keaurbooms river. In the afternoon, we will feed and touch the gentle giants of Africa! BL

Nov. 17 - Knysna/Private Reserve

We depart today for the Eastern Cape and the malaria-free wildlife viewing experience at the private 5-star reserve. BLD

Nov. 18 - Private Reserve

Early morning game drive and other wildlife viewing. BLD

Nov. 20 - Private Reserve/Knysna

After the morning game drive and breakfast, we depart to the Plett area were we can visit a small cat sanctuary and see Serval, Cheetahs, Caracal and more. BL

Nov. 21 - Knysna/Heidelberg District

Today we ride to Mossel Bay, where the first Portuguese navigator Dias landed in 1488 and visit the museum which houses the replica caravel boat. After lunch, we will tour an aloe factory where you can learn more about this plant at its healing properties. Later in the afternoon we will depart for our farm experience and overnight at a local farm. BLD

Nov. 22 - Heidelberg District/Cape Town

After our morning farm visit, we continue through the old town of Swellendam with its wonderful history and architecture. After time in Swellendam we will travel over Sir Lowry's Pass and return back to Cape Town. BL

Nov. 23 - Cape Town

Free day to experience Cape Town on your own. In the evening, we will enjoy a farewell group dinner. BD

Nov. 24 - Cape Town

You will have the morning on your own before transferring to the airport for your flight home. B
