    Oct. 06 – Rome

    After an overnight flight, arrive at the Rome airport, where a Dignity Travel group host will greet you (if you have not been greeted yet at one of our connecting airports). We will transfer from the airport to the hotel using an accessible mini bus. Once we check into our 5-star accessible hotel in central Rome – you will have the opportunity to unwind and relax before enjoying a welcome dinner at the hotel.

    Today we depart Rome for our 4-star seaside hotel on the bay of Naples. We will visit the royal palace of Reggia di Caserta on the way.

    Leave mainland Italy behind as you board a ferry to stunning Capri. Upon arrival, we will stroll Capri’s charming, boutique-lined streets and discover its beautiful vistas and views.

    We begin our day by discovering the extensive and varied ruins of Pompeii, which offers rich insight into the history of the Roman Empire. Destroyed by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79, this unearthed treasure reveals temples, forums, amphitheaters, a brothel, and the casts of the people killed by the falling ash and pumice stone. After our visit, we will continue to Paestum which is home to some of the best-preserved Greek temples in the world.

  • Bay of Naples/Amalfi Coast/Bay of Naples Oct. 12

    Skirt the fabled Amalfi coast in our private accessible minibus. We will visit to the enchanting village of Ravello, with its stunning coastal views. We will also tour the village of Amalfi to see the Duomo, fronted by a beautifully hued, 13th-century façade. Along the way, you will delight in seeing a kaleidoscope of lagoons, sandy coves, vertiginous cliffs, and sunbaked villages.

  • Bay of Naples/Fasano Oct. 14

    Today we depart for one of Italy’s most amazing regions – Puglia. Located on the heal of the Italian boot, this sun-drenched region is home to amazing culture, architecture and whitewashed homes. Before checking into our 5-star accessible hotel, which was once a fortified country estate, we will visit the Castel de Monte a beautiful 13th-century citadel and castle situated on a hill in Andria in the Apulia region of southeast Italy.

    Today we will discover Lecce, a Baroque “Florence of the South.” Take a scenic stroll through town, seeing the Piazza del Duomo, the stunning Basilica of Santa Croce, and the Roman amphitheater.

    We continue our adventures in Puglia with a visit to the Valle d’Itria and its many villages of whitewashed cone-shaped homes and beautiful landscapes.

    We will visit the 2019 European Capital of Culture – Matera, which is among the most ancient cities on earth. Continually inhabited for 10,000 years, this magical open-air museum — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — is an inimitable tangle of cave-dwellings, magnificent Baroque palaces, and beautiful stone churches.

    We depart Puglia today for Naples. Along the way, we will stop to discover the Cathedral in quaint seaside town of Trani. The soaring structure with its tall bell tower sits right at the water’s edge, making it the city’s landmark from both land and sea.
